1. Coburg appoint Des Ryan as General Manager

The Tigers have appointed the position of General Manager to Des Ryan.

Ryan, who played football with Frankston after leaving Richmond, has more recently been involved with Richmond, working as their Sponsorship Manager.

2. Presidents message...

The PMFC website has been updated. With new content in the "Presidents message" section. http://www.pmfc.com.au/president.html Offtopic, I got down to the Kangaroos training session at Arden St this morning... Didn't recognise any Port players running around with them. Im not sure if its a change on previous years, but there appears to be a lot of ball-work for this time of the season.
3. Aaron Davey to Melbourne?

Just a small piece in the Herald-Sun suggesting that the Demons were looking very closely at drafting Aaron Davey. Shannon Motlop was also mentioned as a possible pick.
4. Ruck duties for 2004

With the loss of Arch for 2004, and Hamish McIntosh and David Hale likely to play more footy with North. Port might be a little short this season. Next tallest on the list is Steve Bracchi at 198cm, and Tim Ryan at 197cm. I must say I can't recall too much about Bracchi's season in the reserves, but Ryan played a couple of good games. If Port retain Kangaroo rookies Stuart Cooper and ex-port Nick Gill who are both 194cm, they might have to fulfill ruck duties occasionally.
5. VFL players selected in Yesterdays National AFL Draft

Several players from the VFL were picked up in this years National AFL Draft. With the pre-season draft traditionally being the draft that most clubs pick more mature-age players, it is a good indication of the skills going around in the VFL.
