1. Tasmania: The inequality

The Tasmania Devils joined our state competition, but I want to know do you resent their involvement? In an week where the AFL discussion has focused around the selling of home games, is it fair that the Devils buy extra home games in the VFL? Sure, if the draw is 'fair' they will have to travel on planes 9 times a year compared to a maximum of one for some other clubs. That's their problem for having a state league that fell over.
2. Round 9 - Werribee v Springvale

RESERVES Werribee 5.2 12.5 18.11 22.12 (144) Springvale Scorpions 0.2 0.2 0.3 2.3 (15) Werribee Goals: Davis 10, Demetriou 3, Guerra 2, S. Potter, Collins, Closter, Castello, Whitten, Morrow, Foreman. Best: Guerra, Davis, Castello, Collins, Pelar, Closter. Springvale Scorpions Goals: Brooks 2. Best: Taylor, Fredericks, Murphy, Rafferty, Callery, Main. Awful game of football. How can Springvale field such an uncompetitive side? They play football they way it shouldn’t be played.
3. Round 9 Coburg Tigers vs Geelong(S), vs Frankston(R)

SENIORS Coburg Tigers 15-13-103 Geelong 14-15-99 It was an even first half with both teams kicking 4 goals in each of the first 2 quarters. In the the third quarter Coburg broke the game open kicking 5.8 to 1.1 and then kicked the first 2 goals of the last quarter to lead by 38 pts 5 mins in before Geelong kicked the last 5.4 of the game to lose by just 4 pts, the Cats did have chances to win ther game at the end.
4. Another good final quarter from Port

North Ballarat 1.2 5.7 10.10 10.11 (71) Port Melbourne 5.3 11.8 11.13 18.14 (122) North Ballarat Goals: Eccles 2, Saunders 2, Dinnell, Tuckey, Taylor, Whyman, Plunkett, Hutchinson Best: Moloney, Biddiscombe, Whyman Port Melbourne Goals: Harding 5, Lawrence 4, McIntosh 2, McMahon, Robbins, Porter, Cotchett, Stevens, Shore, Schwarze Best: Lawrence, J.Clayton, Schwarze, Urch, Harding, Robbins, McIntosh Good overall effort, apart from the third quarter, where Port took the foot off the pedal and North fought their way back into the game. Lawrence was named BoG and has played some terrific footy
5. VFL 2s: Willy v Sandy

Played today at the end of the earth (Point Gellibrand): Williamstown 4.6.30 4.8.32 6.10.46 10.12.72 Sandringham 0.0.0 2.7.19 4.11.35 11.15.81 I was impressed with the games of Shaun Neeson (Williamstown) and Brock McLean (Sandringham) but I see they didn't get named in the best! Funny game, with ten goals kicked until 3/4 time, but 11 in the last quarter. At the 18 minute mark of the last quarter Willy led by 17 points, but a goal to Sylvia after a strong mark and another thirty seconds later by Andrew Treloar quickly reduced it to 5 points.
