1. The Scorps 'Comen Home?

Springvale have apparently asked Football Victoria to schedule their home matches for 2005 at Newcomen Rd, replacing Shepley Oval. Obviously the Scorpions will become the Casey Scorpions in 2006 and move to Cranbourne, so the Springvale return would only be for one season. The reason Springvale had to move was because of the facilities at the ground being below standard, and I couldn't see them being much better now.
2. Stevie Wright

Anyone know where Stevie Wright has finished up ? Interesting to note that he was overlooked for the North Adelaide job in favour of former under age coach Peter Simmons who has taken the job on a part time basis only !! Did he also apply for the Springy job...cant remember now. Rumblings from a few Ballarat guys was that he was ridiculously hard on some blokes. Might just be the grizzles of disgruntled players ( God knows every club has em) but he certainly didn't last long there. Wonder how Gav Crosisca will go up there...he's also known for his tough approach to players.
3. Ammos

Not quite VFL I know but I thought it worthy of note anyway.... Simon Madden has taken on the coaching role at St Bernards in VAFA A grade next season , filling the gap created by former VFL identity Peter Nicholson who resigned recently citing travel and family concerns. Nicko has recently been appointed as coach of Old Hailebury and former Carlton and StKilda player Dean Rice has been appointed at Old Melburnians. And just to add another VFL angle to the post ( !!!!!) former Werribee ressies coach Dave Calthorpe has got the job at Old Essendon in B Grade.
4. Heath Lawry training with the Pies

Forums:
Collingwood have invited a Heath Lawry Williamstown to train with them for the pre-season.
Lawry, 192cm and 95kg, hails from Morningside in the AFLQ, and finished third in Williamstown's best-and-fairest in 2004. "He's from up north and we're just having a bit of a look at him and giving him a bit of an opportunity," said Balme. "It's more because of the Williamstown relationship than anything else."
5. 2005 coaches

With Port the only club yet to announce it's senior coach for next season , I was wondering if any regulars had any ideas on existing coaches and whether they had actually been re-appointed yet.
