  1. Two state games ?

Going by the poll at the VFL website, the majority of VFL supporters want the VFL Grand Final shifted away from the AFL Preliminary final weekend. Interestingly, almost 40% say the VFL Grand Final should be played the week after the AFL Grand Final, making the only other game of football on that weekend (barring a draw in the AFL) the SANFL Grand Final. If Football Victoria do shift the game, thats an extra two weeks to the VFL fixture. Could (or should) the VFL therefore schedule another interstate game during the season?
  2. Gulls announce another signing.

    Forums:
The Williamstown Football Club is pleased to announce that it has signed the 2004 Barry Priest Medallist, Dean Galea from the Spotswood Football Club. Dean played junior football with Albanvale before joining the Western Jets in 2003. In 2004 he joined Spotswood and took the Western Region by storm. He kicked in excess of 80 goals, was selected in the Western Region Football League Team of the Year, won Rookie of the Year and won the Barry Priest Medal as the A Grade Best and Fairest player.
  3. Kingy to coach Port?

A few rumours doing the rounds say David King has been interviewd for the coaching position. Interesting, if true. Personally, I don't expect David King to be appointed senior coach. However, I think he will have some kind of coaching role at the club this year. Kingy would make an excellent junior development coach. I think he would need to coach at some other level (Port's Reserves?) before getting a senior VFL coaching position. Now.. here is my "from left field" suggestion...
  4. B&F.

Was an extremely enjoyable night. Will be a certain attendee next season too. The news of Andy Collins re-signing got a very good response from the crowd of approximately 180 people. He started a completely different culture at Box Hill compared to previous seasons and it's only right that he continues that assignment in '05. Bailey was a deserving winner. Quiet achiever that was one of the most consistent and influential all year.
  5. Atkins to coach Werribee?

Heard it now from two reliable sources... Has been around the Tigers for a few years now and should know the club inside-out.
