November 2004

1. Former Port player Ben Matthews-Herald

Might be coming back to Melbourne for family reasons. Was a consistent performer for Port, before moving over to play for Perth in the WAFL. http://www.footygoss.com.au/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=articl...
2. Neil Ross

Thanks to Russell Dower from FootyGoss. The former Port player and coach (and more recently) coach of the Borough's aligned U18 side Oakleigh, has been appointed a development coach over at the West Coast Eagles
3. Noble Park

Did anyone see the article in the Dandenong Journal last week or the week before that stated Eastern FL premiers of the past two years Noble Park had enquired with the VFL about representing the Dandenong area if Springvale's move to Cranbourne in 2006 goes ahead.
4. Four selected in AFL draft

As already mentioned, Ben Schwarze and Simon Taylor have been picked up by their aligned clubs Geelong also secured Matthew Egan who was on their VFL list, while Frankston's Chris Bryan was drafted by Carlton.
5. Congrats Simon Taylor

As a blatant rip-off of onslaughts thread, I'd like to congratulate Tall Jarman on being drafted by the Hawks after coming across the Bass Straight. I personally thought we'd rookie list him at best, but there ya go. Onya Tayls. Saddened Bailey didn't get picked up. Perhaps a club will look at him for the PSD. Hope others like Rudolph are seriously considered for the rookie list.
