  1. Five of the worst coaches in the VFA

Five of the worst VFA coaches Top 5 Damien Christiensen Worst ever. Coached Williamstown to a winless season in 1995. Absolute carrot who had no idea. Coaching Box Hill in 2006 Five of the worst coaches in the VFA Wayne Kirby Coached Box Hill in 1977 Was better known for being a greyhound commentator at Olympic Park Dogs. Recruited the son of Mario Milano (World Championship Wrestling) from the good old days when it was shown on Channel 9. I don't think he lasted long. Tom Alvin Coached the Zebras but had no communication skills. Used the same boring vocab time and time again.
  2. Most interesting speaches by VFA coaches

Most interesting speaches by VFA coaches Steve Parsons Brunswick In the early 80s Brunswick were second on the ladder and were trailling Box Hill by a goal at the last change. Box Hill were second last or last at the time. He eyeballed all his players and said "you got yourselves in this fu***n mess, get yourselves out of this fu***n mess. Brunswick responded by kicking 10 goals. Peter Weightman Preston He once said this game is great, it is better than sex. Preston were playing Williamstown at Cramer street in the mud. It was in the late 80s and the contests were hard.
  3. 12/10 rule - will it apply for all of 2006?

The more I think about it the more I think it's a necessity to keep the VFL viable for attracting non-AFL listed players. I know money is a major problem with players leaving for the SANFL and the WAFL, but at the same time there are very few aligned clubs that can guarantee spots for VFL listed players these days. Why would a 22-23 year old player hang around at a VFL club when chances are he will not get a game? I realise the 12-10 rule will upset a few AFL clubs, but tough. Will also improve the standard of the VFL Reserves.
  4. Good news for the 'stangers

After talk of Box Hill turning over a lot of players during the off-season, Kristan Height signed with Box Hill Hawks late last week.
