  4. Top Ten Tough Men/Psychos/Brawlers in the VFA

    TOP TEN VFA TOUGH MEN/PSYCHOS/BRAWLERS There has been so many tough players, especially from the 1960s/70s. Here is some of the toughest/psychos/brawlers of yesteryear. JOHN SHARP Played and also coached Yarraville. Absolute white line fever at its best. Was banned by the VFA indefinately in 1983. Was reported several times and Yarraville was a feared team in 1977 especially with Sharp at his agro best. Was also more than a handy cricketer who should have played state and even at test level. DAVID THORPE Worked well in tandem with John Sharp.
