  1. Ross Young Rookie Listed by Carlton

    Good to see that Ross Young was recently rookie listed by Carlton. Despite an injury interrupted season. Young is the first Bullants listed player to be added to an AFL list since Peter Summers, who was rookie listed by Essendon in 2004. No Bullants player has gone onto play AFL since Trent Hotton in the early 90's. Ross Young was a major improver in 2006 playing most of the season as a midfielder after joining the Bullants in 2005 as a goalkicking half-forward. Expect him to play AFL in 2007.

    Heard yesterday that Jason Cloke has signed with the Bendigo Bombers, he was considering offers from SANFL clubs so it is great that he is playing in the VFL. Having Haydyn Skipworth leave SA is also a change from players going West.

    Heard tonight that Ken Gannon has resigned from Football Victoria to take up a role with the AFL as "Community Facility Development Manager". Wonder where the VFL will head now, with a new head running Football Victoria.

    Casey Signing: Stefan Garrubba From the Scorps Forum: Stefan has spent the past two years on the Swans rookie list and prior to that was with the Dandenong Stingrays. Stefan was a former Under 16 All Australian, and represented Vic Metro at Under 18 level. Stefan is very quick and could provide pace and skill off half back, wing or midfield. We welcome Stefan to Scorpland. A couple of handy pick ups, Again hopeful a couple more are on the way.
