    Paul Amy would win by the length of the Flemington straight, but what are people's thoughts on the other VFL writers of recent years? Howard Leigh? Carly Jellett? Chris Mitchell? Geoff Poulter? And the new guys at Inside Footy? Seems the maintream papers farm the VFL reporting off to a cadet journalist, who covers the competition for a year then moves on to bigger and better things.

    Noted yesterday at the Nth Melb v Swans game was Tim Hazell working with the North Melb support staff during their pre-game warm-up. Has he been playing with Tasmania this year at all?
