JASON COOK
Great to see Jason Cook get his chance and grab it, good to have a vfl listed player who shapes as a key forward, as opposed to having a revolving door of afl key forwards. You need to build teams around key vfl players, you can't rely on afl players, they can get called up at any stage. I know Cook's not "there" yet, but has kicked 3,3 and 2 in his first three matches, and taken some strong marks, and unlike some vfl players, seemed confident in his ability as soon as he came in to the seniors. Hope he can hold his spot and become a key player for the club over the next few years.

Can play a bit. Probably one of the more erratic players going around but he's big bodied, relatively quick on the lead and can turn a game on it's head. He's suprised me a tad but his spot in the seniors is definitely secure.

Just a lazy 12 goals in the reserves last week; hope he sticks with the club, because in the next couple of years he could really develop. Struggled since he kicked 5 in the seniors, but i really like him.

Jason Cook has done quite well since crossing over from Box Hill. There have been quite a few players that have crossed over from the EFL in recent years that have been more than serviceable. With another year under his belt Cook could improve even further next year.

Sorry, I meant he crossed over to Box Hill from East Burwood. Pretty sure he'll stick at it.
