Round 2 betting.

Casey is the shortest price I can ever remember in any form of betting. If you're not sure, 1.001 means you have to put $1000 on to win $1.

Good team effort but I would say the stand outs were Eli Templeton, Nahas, Woofidin solid, Kelso got pretty involved, Toby did well. All round good performance although I did think that geelong looked pretty sloppy at parts. Ports pressure was fantastic with them winning possesion back when they had no right to.

Ok, I'll be suitably brief as, given the results at BCO yesterday there's precious little positive to say from the Coburg side of things.

Development Team fell away badly after half time, Frankly we were lucky to be only 5 goals down at the main break as Box Hill muffed a few sodas which would have made the score line more reflective of their dominance. Game opened up heaps as the clouds hovered but the rain we wanted stayed away.

Main game as an absolute embarrassment as the Hawks kicked the first 12 goals of the match and led 75 to zip before we registered a major. After that it was a better showing as we trimmed the margin and almost got ourselves back in the game, but I couldn't help but feel that Box Hill simply took the foot off our throats for a while as they started rotating heaps and chopped and changed positions more than we did.

Goes to show a week is a long time in football as I had very positive hopes for this week. Sadly they were crushed in a brutal 30 minutes of slick and polished Hawks' footy.

Back the the drawing board and look to bounce back against a strong Northern Blues outfit for the Battle of Bell St on Vicky Cleary Day.

NB: Apparently there's already been a coaching casualty with one of our senior line coaches calling it quits after round 1. Very odd indeed, and a little disconcerting to be honest.

Thanks Ron. Looking at the result on paper , apart from the first quarter, you'd think Coburg must have played well after that. Just goes to show you have to be there....

Carlton two's looked good watching them on TV. Very sharp and too good for Willy on Sat. Lets hope Coburg can knock them off.

Did anyone watch Casey v Nth Ballarat? Looks a good effort by the Roosters? 46 pts is a lot closer than I thought they'd get.

In a field of 2 the odds for Casey v North Ballarat was ridiculus. Wonder what the points in were for the roosters. Would have to be 100 points in at the line. Money for jam at those odds. Casey won as expected but to quote North Ballarat at $151 is absurd. Roosters will improve throughout the year. Not sure about how many games they will win if any but they won't be flogged by 20 goals week in week out.
