With a couple of key outs for Collingwood I think Port will improve heaps on last weeks opening game against Richmond and get back on the winners circle in a close game. Chris mayne cost Collingwood a fortune and is a complete waste of space.  Mihocek playing against the borough will fell strange but hope he gets a game for Collingwood's AFL team at some stage of the year. He will do ok if given the opportunity. Redman Anastasiou played a good game last week and a similar effort from him as well as Nahas and Pearson the borough small brigade will give the pies a bit of a headache. Fasolo and Blair must be watched but if Port can get on top in midfield and keep possession they can win.

And that brings up post 1000 - never thought when I registered 5.5 years ago I would still be here. Enjoyed the site throughout the years, thank you Northport!!!

Typically gritty win by the Borough in dreadful conditions, would love to know why this couldn't have been played at Vic Park?

No shelter and the social club was closed,no wonder the Collingwood members were peeved,Olympic Park,Eddieland is a bloody training venue and should never be used for Vfl premiership matches.

Double thumps up for the above post. Fans felt the same way yesterday which showed in the (lack of) numbers. At least at Vic park you get probably the healthiest crowd of the VFL in some shelter. They put on a good show at Vic park but fail misreably at Olympic Park. Crowd resembled watching a local Saturday divi 3 game - not that one profesional athletes.
