I reckon crowds have been steady the past few years with no significant fluctuations. Unfortunately the VFL doesn't make it a requirement for clubs to measure and publicise crowds like the WAFL and SANFL therefore its mainly heresay and estimates from fan.

Which stand alone club do people think have the best crowds ? Often people say Port have the largest crowds, somebody on the weekend told me williamstown have the largest. I reckon on memberships Frankston is just head of Port with over 1,100 at the moment with Port getting to 1000 a few weeks back,

Much the same at Coburg. Seems to be a few more younger people around though, bit of a 'hipster' element, buying plenty of beer.

We'll thrill 'em

We'll kill 'em

We'll tear 'em in two

That's good to hear. Coburg set up that area well, it's a good spot to spend a day watching the footy.

Although Frankston have good membership numbers, it hasn't translated to bigger attendances. Maybe when they start winning a few games ....

I think its fair to say that Port and Willy who now both boast over 1000 members are experiencing the same thing. Significant increase in membership numbers has not led to  significant crowd growth which is strange. Must be a heap of people buying memberships for all 3 clubs out of sentiment/ sympathy rather than buying them to go and watch games.

Quiet possibly it's people who already came to games being converted to being members.
