In late December I attempted to buy 2021 Sandy membership on line for Mrs Blackrocker and myself; I could not get the system to work, it kept telling me not all fields were filled in, i could not find a blank field..
I thought there were too many questions that were there for marketing purposes. It was probably my fault as most things I touch "on line" usually fail because of my lack of understanig of the moden way of doing business; I gave up.
Maybe it was an omen to save my money. I paid up early for last season and got nothing for it. With latest COVID outbreaks I reckon the 22 team mega competion may be in doubt.
It got me thinking will the Borough Brigade l have similar experience, or will Port have a simpler system for on line purchase of memberships; if so I might take my business there.
I found the online membership system for Port Melbourne to be fairly easy/streamlined. I bought memberships for my brother and a free child membership for my cousin.
We would be more than happy to have our onboard at Port blackrocker 👍😁
From Port Members Update email Physical membership cards will be later than in years gone by. As it stands, the cards are currently in the production phase with our suppliers and distribution will commence within the next 3-4 weeks.
I relented and purchased a family membership for Port this week as my son insisted we have to go and watch the Borough. I found the interface rather clunky and was suprised I had to create an an account to see the prices. My Greyhound is also a child member this year as a family ticket is for 2 x Adults and 2 x Children and they wanted details about everyone. Unfortunately she won't be able to attend any home games this year as dogs are not allowed at NPO.
Dogs should be allowed but cats are a no no. Theirs actually a no cat sign at North Port oval just incase anybody wanted to take their cat for a walk to the footy !!!
As for your son, smart boy !! I need to buy you a drink for good parenting !

To quote Grouch Max " I Don’t Want to Belong to Any Club That Will Accept Me as a Member".
