Heath - Port Melbourne has more than 4 million $ annually in expenditure. It costs alot of money from player payments, coaching costs, staff, ground costs etc etc.

Coburg are running at $800k for the same number of players/teams/staff. Theoretically

I thought Port was turning over $4m, but that includes the whole business - eg staff and rent at the Rex, costs at the events centre etc... I mean just football costs.

if they spend the $350k salary cap, what would the rest go on?

I think the salary cap for stand alone teams is quite a bit higher than that now. Re North Ballarat, I'm assuming Buckenara was talking about the costs of the overall business rather than just the VFL football team.
