Paul Amy tweeted an hour or so ago that the administrators had been given formal notice that Frankston's VFL licence had been terminated.
But, he also tweeted that reps from Frankston were still in a marathon meeting with AFL Vic that had started at 10am.
Marathon meeting still continuing. Frankston fighting all the way. Looks like at worst the club will not die and continue to trade. Hopefully the dolphins can sway the decision of the GRIM REAPER and his circus clowns.
Fingers crossed for the Frankston Football Club
Meeting with creditors is on Monday. If the club comes out of administration it can continue to trade and present its case. Still plenty of work being done by some influential people to regain the licence, the club certainly isn't dead yet and continues to fight.
Hopefully the dolphins can survive. Marathon meeting longer than any of the ali v frazier fights.
Steve grim reaper and all his gutless sidekicks are weak as piss. Afl puppets who would have got a pay rise for the slimey way they went around it. I can see this basket case comp go one for one more year than hopefully the vfa clubs can all breakaway from these parasites reaper and co. You can stick afl reserves no interest. Maybe the old vfa reams can join foices with all the disgruntled sanfl teams and have a regular comp similar the foxtel cup but a regular comp and include the neafl teams. I hope you sleep well tonight reaper and with your parasite mates.
The key problem as I see it is that no one at AFL Victoria has the balls to announce a clear plan for second tier football in this state.
Obviously the AFL clubs want complete control over their listed players and that's either through standalone VFL sides or alignments which mask the reality at the expense of the tradition and heart of the aligned club.
I strongly doubt Willy or Port would want to break away from playing AFL reserves sides unless/until AFL Victoria simply call it as we presume they want it. In the meantime we have two and a half clubs (Frankston,North Ballarat and Coburg) struggling to compete financially with the two big stand alones and the AFL "affiliates".
The fact Sandringham sold its soul to St Kilda means the prospect of Werribee, Box Hill, Casey, Notthern, Sandringham ever splitting from their AFL parent as we did, and thriving seems remote at best.
The more this competition coughs and splutters without a clear decision to breakaway, the greater the likelihood of the ex VFA clubs dying off in the next five years.
No doubt slimey reaper and his puppets have coburg and north ballarat next in sights followed by the oldest clubs in port and willy. They have a plan to rid of all the old vfa clubs. That is a fact. It would make things interesting if some of the disgruntled sanfl teams decided to walk away and have an alternative league and invite the old vfa teams plus neafl teams. There is nothing that the afl cretins can do to stop this ? It might take some influence prople brave enough to form a breakaway league. Sandringham, werribee, casey and box hill are hanging via alignments. Agree ron if they split from the afl grim reaper would boot them out. I have not included preston as they are long gone. Very very sad is where the local footy in victoria is heading at state level. Also end of an era with the local footy show ch31 on for the last time tonight. End of local stations like ch31 in a few months. Thanks mr turnbull.
After 11 years I can't believe the Dolphins are GONE.
Fantastic bunch of people.
i will take the next few weeks to consider my options but hopefully I will be somewhere in 2017.
watch this Space
Robbo, if you are going to the nrl gf on sunday send me a pm. I will be going to watch storm hopefully win on sunday. To grim reaper and co stick your afl reserves teams. For me it is willy, port, coburg and north ballarat. Stuff the rest of them. More local footy games in 2017 unless grim reaper stuffs that up as well. Right now watching the local footy show on ch31
