Very very true NorthPort been very quiet & have nothing anymore to blow my bags about. So whats left for me ??
My clubs rooted, Port are premiers & Garry has finally rewarded your club with a premiership after murdering thousands of dollars.
I'm sure I will find some ammunition to keep all you one eyed buggers on your toes , so let Mega know about the woes of losing Mihochek who was never your player in the first place.
All the very best to all for christmas & the new year. Hope to catch up one day at the sandwich centre.
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
Gary murdering thousands of dollars ??? Mihocek not being a Port Melbourne player ??? Yes folks it is indeed the SILLY SEASON !!!! Campbell Walker has signed for Port. Campbell comes to us from the Brisbane Lions neafl side. Looks like the club is trying to develop some youngsters, yet to see a big name recruit, which I think we may need two or three of if we are to be successful in 2018.
Have lost over 700 games experience!!!
17 PREMIERSHIPS, 33 x GRAND FINALISTS, 21 X Runners up
THE VFLS MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB - THE MIGHTY PORT MELBOURNE BOROUGH!
I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN, I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED, I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!
Could be more problems for Port, saw Dylan Conway at Willy Cricket ground onSaturday on crutches, looked in a fair bit of trouble.
Conway on crutches is concerning. Thankfully it happened during the off season and he has time on his side.
Dickson has returned to Port after being away in qland for a year. Any more news on Abastasio ?? Somebody here had said that he is off to Noble Park yet this is not confirmed by either club.
Congratulations must go to Toby Pinwill who will rightly go down as a legend not only at Port Melbourne, but a champion player in the VFA /VFL.
Best of luck in his move to the Waverley Blues. Bryce McGain has a great addition to that club.
I'm encouraged to see that former player Guy Dickson back at the Borough. Has potential and there is certainly spots available in the 22.
Toby Pinwill was as good a player that I’ve seen at Port.
Im having trouble trying to think of one better. The only blemish on his great career was his over exuberance in the early days which I have no doubt cost him a place on a AFL list. He certainly had the ability to play at that level.
But a great VFL career.
One of your own too !!
Love those stories. Doesn’t surprise me.
I like the idea of using players from within to command spots and step up. Here's a few who missed on last years GF.
FORWARD: Billy Hogan (forward pocket/flank) may now get an extended run in the team with Chris Cain retiring. Callum Searl will also play plenty of senior football.
MIDFIELD: Issac Conway, Mack Rivett and Matt Arnot great options to replace Sam Dwyer.
KEY POSITION: Khan Haretuku, Guy Dickson
The club has never sat on there hands at this time of year in regards to recruiting so its going to be interesting to see who else they target.
I caught up with a couple of reliable sources who clarified a few things which have been discussed on this thread. Dylan Conway on crutches is not due to a recently sustained injury but rather due to a planned procedure which should not affect his game time and Ferari (Anastasio the pacey red Italian) is indeed staying at Port Melb with Noble park being his home club.
