Coburg have recruited quite a few EFL players which is not a bad thing. Leigh Adams who coached South Croydon to a shock win over Vermont in the EFL GF last year might go well in his first season of VFL coaching. There is eleven players from EFL ranks that have crossed over to Coburg.  My predicition for this season is that it will be a very even season and the bottom team whoever that is will still win at least 4 games maybe 5.

I saw that article to George, but noticed a few of the guys listed were Coburg players who have now chosen to list an EFL club as their local club. So there are a small number of guys coming across, but not as many as the article suggests. Hopefully they club has some success this year though, theyre a good group of guys there.

Good luck with glenorchy this year paul. Very sad to see what has happened to burnie and devonport. One of my mates from tassie daimieon is a hard core glenorchy fan and has been for many years. He will say hello to you at one of the games. He knows glenorchy fc and tassie footy inside out.

When was the last time that the the Northern Blues played a game interstate? It would be back in the days of the Devils I'm guessing.

As was mentioned above, what is going on with footy in Tasmania? Not just the issue with the survival of clubs but even the number of kids getting drafted has all but dried up.

Is the population in Tasmania increasing as is the rest of Australia.

I'm desperate for the VFL season to start. There has been pretty much nothing coming out of Port Melbourne with regards to news. Talk is most of the squad from last year (apart from retirees) have stuck with the club, so I'm thinking it's going to be more about developing from within.
