Stephen Reaper on Channel 7

The half time interview on the Box Hill v Essendon game today was Mr Reaper. They asked him a few questions about the Develpoment League and Frankstons return, but his most interesting comments were about Nth Ballarat. I fear the worst for the Roosters.

He said they have questions for Nth Ballarat regarding the club meeting the minimum requirements needed to have their licence renewed. He then went on to say they might have to do what Frankston did.....sounds like the decision may have been made already.

He agreed to Channel 7 interviewing him again within the next few weeks.

Well that doesn't bode well for the Roosters who really seem to have gone off the rails.

Digs has had concerns for some time. I'll see if I can get the grab and upload it to YouTube.

Reaper is well aware of the damage at North Ballarat.

The current administration continue to say that the Roosters have their full support but that is Bullshit as many directors have wanted to rid the club of the Roosters & concentrate solely the BFL team.

Looks like they are going to be successful after over 20 years.

Any likelihood that I'd North Ballarat do drop out of the VFL that the ground would become available for some other club to make use of these facilities?

What have the current administration done to dispel the rumours Digs?

What is the financial position of the club? Are more night matches a potential solution?

If the Roosters do drop out I'm sure that there will be a regional representative team in the future.

The City council & AFL Victoria are not going to spend 30 million for the North City team to play on !!

Like I said the current administration continue to say that there will be a VFL team next year but I would take their comments with a grain of salt.

AFL Victoria are not satisfied with the current regime as everybody knows that they cannot be trusted.

The finances have never been better with 6 million bucks in the bank as a result of the compulsory acquisition.

Plenty of money but very little talent unfortunately.

Why is that Digs ? Is that because it is hard to attract players from outside the Ballarat region ? If the money is there why can't a competitive side be put on the park ?

We do abide by the salary cap Mega & also very difficult to recruit established players outside the Metro area.

We have learned from the past about recruiting big name ex AFL duds that will quickly send you broke.

If you are abiding by the salary cap and have 6 million in the bank, signing ex afl players won't send you broke but may assist in having a competitive side on the park.

Mega,

Ex AFL players are not the answer, Development is.

Thought that you would be the first person to realise that.
