In a field of 2 the odds for Casey v North Ballarat was ridiculus. Wonder what the points in were for the roosters. Would have to be 100 points in at the line. Money for jam at those odds. Casey won as expected but to quote North Ballarat at $151 is absurd. Roosters will improve throughout the year. Not sure about how many games they will win if any but they won't be flogged by 20 goals week in week out.

Collingwood looks like an ordinary team considering they have not too many injuries. Were not flash against Coburg and thrashed by Essendon.

VFL returns to Arden Street and will be the first VFA game there since 1924 when North were in the old VFA.

Will they have the oval fenced off or will it be like Victoria Park where you can stroll in.

They should get a decent turnout.

Will be a big game this week with Port Melbourne taking on Richmond. Both teams have had good starts to the season. Looks like a far better TV game than the televised game at Preston where the seagulls were poor.

Some new venues in next few weeks with games at Arden Street, Hoppers Crossing. Throw in Wangaratta Showgrounds and Beaconsfield for the travelling Werribee tigers.

Post #11 was posted numerous times in error so I have edited into a few new posts.

Questions from the weekend ?

Are Collingwood no good ? Is Port the real deal ? Are Essendon a flag threat ? Will Richmond be a dark horse ?  Is Williamstown overated or they are just had a bad day at the office ? Will the roosters win a game ? Are Box Hill better than we thought ? Will Frankston be re admitted for 2018 ? Will it be one of those seasons that will fluctuate and hard to read ? Which AFL team impacts there VFL team where they rely on its AFL list the most ? Who will be the surprise packets for the season ?  Will you see games at Arden Street, Beaconsfield, Wangaratta Showgrounds and Hoppers Crossing ?

Is Port the real deal ? Absolutely - this side is comparable to the 2014 side that made the prelim.

Richmond a dark horse ? - yes, they will do ok this year.

Williamstown overated - I think I saw them at the TAb as the favorite to win it - if I am right that they were favorite then yes that is over rated. Having said that, they will go ok and play finals but I expect that they won't get to the prelim.

Frankston - yes - with a ground naming sponsor and 400 memebrs, debts slashed - everything looks positive to have Frankston back and they will be welcome by many fans of the competition.

Flactuations and hard to read - yes mainly due to the the AFl sides having to cover their AFl players.

Games at those venues yuo mentioned - yes if my team is playing only.

Roosters will win a game but as I think we most know - it won't be many.

37 times Grand finalists
16 times premiers
21 times runners up - THE MIGHTY BOROUGH!

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN,
I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED,
I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roosters will win this year - at least a game against a lower side.
