Northport you can put Casey back in your list as a top 2 contender if they keep playing the way they did last night. Very fast, closing us down very quickly.

A couple of reasons/excuses for the sizeable loss- I would say our inability to play as good football on big grounds, we are not as used to playing under lights as Casey are and just wasn't our day. This is a ground that we struggle at and haven't had a win there for years.

Also throws in the seed of doubt which makes you ask how good are Port really ? I still think we are a top 4 side and anything out of the top 4 at seasons end would be a dissapointment. I think if we were offered 5 wins and a loss from the 1st 6 games you would say yes please however wouldn;t of wanted that loss to come from a side that got belted the previous week and struggled for wins (may have been a bigger loss had they capitalised on their 2nd quarter dominance).

Wonder what people think about Ports chances after last nights result.

A very dismal night out at Casey / Cranbourne. I dislike going out there at the best of times, and regardless of the result I have one major gripe.

The lighting is not up to a standard fit for night football.  Please don't fixture night games out there!

On to the game.. amazing contrast from last weeks Casey effort.  They were feirce and tackled strongly, and as the game wore on were more potent around goals.

The Scorpions put really good pressure on, particulary their defensive and midfield efforts in the second quarter.  Port struggling to gain an inside 50 until well into the middle of that quarter, and were restricted to a single behind.

The Borough got themselves into the game, only for Casey to blow them away, putting on 5 or 6 goals late to make the game probably reflect the overall dominance of the Demons.

Offtopic.. disappointing to hear that Casey have given up their theme song, as our song was played when the 'Demons' ran out.  Seems like another club has more or less bitten the dust!

One of my friends commented on the lack of light as well, wasn't great. They still have the scorpions honor boards up and scorpions photos from Springvale in their walk way - just to try and trick whowever is interested to making them believe / hope that theirs a Springvale connection there.

People aren't that dumb - everybody knows that their is no more Springvale / Scorpions - the dirty dogs oops I mean deamons have taken over their club whilst trying to make out that they respect Springvale by keeping their images / boards -  dishonest ba@#$%ds ! Don't take the piss - Just take down the Springvale stuff - everybody knows they don't give a crap about them and that it is Melbourne 2nds now.
