It will be interesting to see by how much St Kilda seconds/Sandringham get done by Willliamstown in what will be  atrocious conditions today at Pt Gellibrand.

Robbo

Williamstown 11-11(77) def Sandringham 0-9(9)

sandringham’s lowest score (prev. 1-4(10) vs Preston at Preston Round 13 1954)

As I said only to be expected!hat would have to be thw worst conditions I have seen at Point Gellibrand. The soft pampered AFL players cant cope with anything like this and to not kick a goal when Williasmstown managed 11 is a disgrace

It looked to me the players in the Sandringham jumpers gave up in the last quarter. No doubt it would have to be one of the lowest VFA/VFL crowds at Williamstown ever as well

Only stkilda players can do it. Win by 20 goals plus one week and goalless the next. I was at the mcg today and that was cold and miserable so i can imagine point gellibrand. Todays zebra effort makes geelong west 3rds scores look reasonable when they use to get flogged by truckload week in week out in the 80s. Taped the game will have a look at it during week.

Spoke to one of the Willi players after the game, he said a couple of the StKilda players said to him out on the ground during play 'I don't want to be here, i want to go home', good grief, just the blokes you want in the trenches next to you when things get a bit tough, probably explains a fair bit where St Kilda are at

Aussie rules is a winter sport rain, hail, fog or wind. Imagine the st kilda squibs if they were playing in a gluepot. St kilda players must like the nice perfect no wind closed roof comforts and sterile place in docklands called mickey mouse stadium.  Imagine the hard nose tough players from sandringham back in the old vfa days if they heard players saying that on the ground that they don't want to be here.

How  much  lower  can St Kilda drag the Sandringham FC down.Itsbeen a diaster since John Mennies mob were sucked into joining the least successfull VFL/AFL club in history,To have kicked our lowest score in almost 90 years since the dark days of the early 1950s days  when the Zebras finished on the bottom but at leat those teams TRIED.Pity their mongrel firsts fluked a win against the worst team in the AFL.

Miserable day at  Pt Gellibrand; conditions were terrible, cold, strong winds and heavy showers. Most of the play was at the scoreboard end, only 1 goal &  1 point were scored (by Willy) at the grandstand end. There was plenty of water underfoot and apart from the wicket area the grass stood up well.

Sandy needed the support of St Kilda to kick our lowest ever score; we could not have achieved it by ourselves.

Is it any wonder that the old faithful members of these affiliated clubs have bailed out? Who would want to support a pea hearted mob like this?

It just goes to show how far the integrity of this comp has plummeted.

KH

Those so called peahearts beat your mob by 22 goals last week. So what would you call yourself.

As for integrity of the comp plummeting, well that went to its lowest level a couple of years ago when you didn't pay your players & still havn't.
