I have no issue with the fixture for Dolphins. I heard a rumour about a week before Fixture that we will miss out on a home TV game and I was proved right,

i know (or hope) we will have a few games on Casey Radio in 2019. After not having a game on VFL Live(now SEN+) in 2018 either it doesn’t surprise me.

I would like to see Steven Reaper or someone from AFL Victoria explain to Frankston members and sponsors why there is no TV game at SkyBus Stadium in 2019?

got to help the big clubs not small ones

They will probably argue that the allocation of TV games is dictated by Channel 7 and that they get more bang for their buck if they are covering clubs with a big ratings/following.

Unfortunately its a bit of a chicken and the egg scenario... The Dolphins really need a dominant season to get the masses interested.

All in all the TV games for 2019 are what you'd expect. To get advertisers, the games have to rate and thats only going to happen by televising matches with the top teams and the most membership. Although how Carlton twos got 4 TV games is a bit of a mystery...

You are right Nth Port, Dolphins have to have on field success to get coverage, but unfortunately that is still a very long way off.

Frankston are the biggest losers from TV games. Most vfl stand alone clubs have minimum tv coverage.

except Nth Melbourne who don’t have a lot of supporters anyway.

Now that is a Christmas time, it will all be forgotten.

What did you expect dugs? its game over for the Zebras Nothing to see here move on!

For the first time in my life I didnt attend any SFC matches live this year and I suspect the same will be the case next season as well.

If Sandy do part with St Kilda in 2020 as expected they will surely join Coburg and Frankston at the botton of the ladder.

Yes, incredibly disappointing to see Sandy playing games at Moorabbin, and that number is only going to grow. Given the wording of their current agreement with St Kilda, the Zebs either need to get out or they'll end up going the way of Preston.

billythekid

Yep Paul. But I dont think they have the will or guts to that so they will go the way Box Hill,Springvale and Preston

Maybe if they will end up the Southern Saints or St Kilda Reserves playing all their matches at Moorabbin and then a new true local Sandringham FC could rise at the Beach Road Oval  playing in a lesser local league with honour and integrity.

Sandy are probably too far gone. Cant see how they could go alone now. They dont have any supporters or players and probably dont have the money to resurrect themselves. Guess you're right Billy, whats left of the mess will probably end up as a suburban team.

Sandy had a chance to go it alone and announced that couple of years back and quite a few players stuck around with the belief that that was where the club was headed.  It resulted in a meeting of the players and not surprisingly they lost a few when they backflipped and kept the alignment going.

It's death to play it safe in this day and age. They could have been in a better position than Coburg and Frankston if they had done so.

It just looks like they are being dictated too these days. I'd like to be proven wrong.

There was talk that they would be playing home games at Moorabbim, in St Kilda jumpers.. I know they are playing a game there this year but are they still playing in their own jumper?
