For the 2nd week in a row, today was a gutsy effort against a quality opposition, but we fall short after being overrun in Q4.

Individually, Ben Jolley was an absolute standout for us.

Heads up, boys!

FINAL SCORE: Richmond 13.14.92 def. Port Melbourne 7.7.49.

Today’s BEST PLAYERS vs.

@RichmondVFL

: Ben Jolley, Harvey Hooper, Campbell Walker, Callum Searle, Shannen Lange, Patrick Veszpremi.

Agreed, Ben Jolley appeared to play very well in the bits of play i saw on the live stream

Didnt see all the game but dont like the look of the Port forward line set up boys. Too big and top heavy and very slow. Dont like Khan as a full forward either. I think that was proved while he was at Frankston. Much better player in the ruck....

Thought Krakoer did some nice things.

Did Jordan Lisle play? didn't see him or hear his name mentioned and no mention in the Port goalkickers.

Wally - Jordan did play although he had a very quiet game. Its two games now and he has yet to score and I think it may be affecting his confidence.

Northport I think you summed it up pretty well - your right Port struggled to hit targets time and time again. Delivery was too short, too long, to opposition players and some bad decision making at times giving the ball into dangerous positions when their were free players that could have received the ball (I know its always easier on the outside to see these things).

Last quarter we were absolutely killed - up until then we were competitive and looked like we deserved to be on the park with Richmond however the last quarter they looked to be in a different league to us. Talk about the forward line - I wonder if we bring back Dylan Conway - his side only scored 6 goals yesterday.

We will definetely need every player to bring their A game next week if we are to get a win against Box Hill. Looking towards the near future we have 3 (what you would expect) easier games to follow. Looking further ahead towards end of season - I am still confident that we will finish in the finals but hard to see us getting further than perhaps week 2.
