Man Utd put 9 past Southampton overnight, reckon it would take the ladies about 3 games to score that many!
It will be interesting what live coverage exists this season. There has been nothing confirmed by channel 7 at this stage. It would be good to see at least two games televised each weekend (one from Victoria and one from interstate perhaps). I think we will be relying heavily on live streams run by either the V/AFL or the individual clubs.
Richmond AFLW team would be lucky to kick 9 goals for the whole season.
Would rather watch synchronised swimming, stalemate in a game of chess or test pattern than AFLW.
Three of the very worst on TV are all reality shows especially trash like My Kitchen stinks (rules), big bash trash and AFLW. Not for me. Have not watched one second.
Pretty sure Ch7 will televise the VFL this year. Hopefully all 22 teams will get at least one gig.
All going well VFL Fixture should be out by the end of next week
VFLW Fixture (comp starts Feb 27) no idea when that fixture will be released
Another update this time on crowds
for local, vfl and tac cup footy in Victoria crowds must be capped at 1000. Unless the club or league applies for an expection.
1000 is a very low crowd number. I understand some games won't draw those numbers so it could be less of an issue, but classic games like Port v Willy still draw fairly strong crowds. Hopefully this figure sees some adjustment early on.
Regarding the VFLW fixture, that is incredible that we can be 2 and a bit weeks away from a start, with no idea of where and when teams are playing.
Capping the crowd to 1000 absolutely ridiculous. Will they make people wear masks ? I am well and truly over masks.
Australian Open different story ??? There was no footy last year what are these morons trying to do kill all local footy ?
Has anyone gone to the Melbourne CBD and see how dead the place is.
Looking forward to watch local footy including games at all the old VFA standlaone clubs Williamstown, Port, Coburg, Frankston, Coburg, Werribee and Preston. Will watch at least one home game for all these old VFA clubs.
The majority of games wouldnt draw1000,as you say a few marquee games like Port v Willy would be effected as would AFL 2s like Essendon v Collingwood although how they would handle games at open areas like Vic Park,Windy Hill etc will be interesting.
There would be very few games in the opening 2-3 rounds that don't draw 1000 people. Middle of winter sure, but it's a different story in April when the weather is still nice.
That's true but footy not starting until the latter part of April, wonder how many they get to Gold Coast 2s and Aspley etc?
We are an unofficial VFA / VFL website made up of long time and new supporters of clubs from the Victorian Football Association (now Victorian Football League)..
