Pleming is a interesting player Where exactly would you play him in a fully fit Port Side?? Maybe the defenisve half?? It was only a suggestion was more looking for how Port could shape for RND One against Collingwood Saw a lot of Port Melbourne last year and when they played well it wasnt Plemings name on top of my list. I do rate him as a footballer but cant seem him replacing Baird or Livingston as Ports main defenders

Don't know what happened over the summer but for a gilham to come straight into the starting 22 over plemming, who as mentioned earlier, was in the top 3 in the b&f and won the coaches award. But it must have been something extroadinary for plemming to be put on your bench behind a reknowned forward in gilham???? maybe we should just wait and see what happens round one...

Go Borough!

I'm not claiming to see every game I'm glad it has raised some debate It was a just quick whip up of a team, I thought Gilham may push for selection and players can often be used in variety of positions especially at this level... Good Luck to Port for the opener.. will see how they go against a side with a point to prove!!

First time poster. Watched my first game of VFL with interest for variety of reasons last weekend where Port was defeated by Frankston. Very disspointed in Cory Mcgraths performance and now have a good idea by the blues delisted him. Too indiciplined. Luke Livingston also disappointing. Was led to believe that he dominated at VFL level. Im not saying that is not the case but the mark to took in the last quarter that lead to his usual wayward kick out of bounds was pure luck. I took about 500 photos of the game and his eyes were firmly shut at the time 8O . Will post one when Ive got time. Overall I enjoyed the game and thought the overuse of handball is what really cost you the game (I know it was a trial). Kept getting you in trouble and getting forwards out of position. Frankston appeared a faster team but I suspect that was because they were more direct with their use of the footy. Hope Ports smashes the Pies this week.

Go Borough!

Agreed with Bobby. Livingston is brilliant off the ball. If only he could improve on his decision making. Gotta beat the scum this week.

Just to clear things up I was only commenting from what I saw in one game and my take on it. I was a big fan of both boys and agree that Pagan burnt them but at the end of the day I was disappointed in what I saw. For the record Luke was drafted after having played junior footy up forward with the hope he would grow more than he did. When he had Silvagni along side him he appeared to be coming along nicely. For a bloke with the amount of time he had in the system I expect more from him with respect to his kicking skills. I have been following Pt Melb with interest from afar for 4 years now despite being a diehard Carlton fan. I really hope your season is a success. What bloke who would be considered fringe and played on the weekend performed well?
