The only time I tried it was in the early 80s when there was a beer strike. Southwark is a shocker. Not sure if it is still around. Doubt it.

I've turned into a big Corona man, for some reason. But you can't beat Crown Lager. I bought a six-pack of a brew called Blue Tongue (from the Hunter Valley in NSW) last week and it's not a bad drop at all.

:D Drinking before the game went out many years ago, soon as . 05 came in and driving home , but as most supporters live miles away these days from home grounds (unfortunately) a couple after the match is all that is allowable (real shame but that's the rules). Public transport goes nowhere within cooee near home so must drive.... must be many other supporters in the same boat these days ... but if I want to see next weeks match ,obey the rules , stick to lite.. sorry about the lecture.. go zebs zebra

Working my way through a slab of Asahi at the moment.. another Beer Ive recently warmed to is Tsingtao (chinese). Locally, James Squire Amber Ale and Golden Ale are bloody good. In the Blonde range, I reckon the Boags Classic Blonde goes alright too. I can't seem to find Speights anymore, I'm guessing NZ stoppped exporting it.
