The auction says it was "purchased" at the end of 2004.

About 2 years ago there was quite a few old VFA jumpers available on ebay. There was a Brunswick, Mordialloc, Preston, Coburg, Werribee, Berwick and also an old Yarraville jumper with a big eagle on it. That jumper was from 1977 season. Most of the jumpers went for around $30 to $60. Some of those jumpers are collectables, especially the old Brunswick, Mordialloc, Preston and Yarraville jumpers.

This would be a good little money spinner for the various VFL clubs, they could make money by selling jumpers worn by the AFL listed players or VFL stars.

This jumper was obviously worn by a no-body. Its on a 10 day listing & with only 1 day left, there have been no bids. Maybe $85 is a bit rich for a VFL Jumper.

What makes you think it was worn by a someone of not much note at all? Maybe they just didn't want to disclose who it was for reasons that we don't know.
