STANGA
Box Hill v Sandy
Due to Easter celebrations and festivities, i was only able to wander down for the first half, but i got a fair picture of how the match went. Hate to say it, but Nick Sautner really is looking quite good. Sure he got a couple of easy ones, including a free we stupidly gave away, sure he took a dive, but we just shouldn't have gone near him, but he did take a couple of impressive grabs, especially in the pocket during the second term. Sandy just looked so strong, and it's pretty much their VFL players leading the way. Liddell, Poyas, Rigoni, Lamb, Crowe, who seems to have bulked up this year, mixed with the likes of Johnson, Bate and Holland, they just controlled the match. Not on the scoreboard at first, i was amazed we were actually in front for a while, whilst Sandy dominated. Our forward line had no real structre, MAtt Little is looking alright, and Boyle was great against Willy, but their's no robust, tough at it tall forwards, such as Alleway, and we are really going to struggle to post winning scores this year. Unfortunately, Franklin wasn't able to get into the game unlike the practise match against Werribee, and Sandy moved the ball a lot quicker, meaning their forwards had a lot more space to lead into. We have just played the 2 potential grand finalists, so i won't get too upset, we've got Coburg and Springy in the next couple of weeks, so we might get a clearer indication of where we're at. Barracking for Richmond and Box Hill in 2006 reads Wins:0 Losses:5 Could be a long winter...

:D good honest report Stanga, yes up to half time Box Hill were well in it and only in the 2nd half did Sandy really take control thanks to the players you have mentioned, who have hit good form so early in the season and do hope it's not too early. Apart from Sandy players I thought no16 Miller was tremendous for B.H. and was hard to match up on. At Sandy we are really very fortunate to have leadership of a captain Chad Liddell ilk, every club has a good captain and leader that's why they select them , but Chad puts in so much for Sandy every week with hard at the ball and his kicks to the forwards are worth watching and praised even from opposing teams. We have had some great captains at Zebraland of late Anthony Allen, Darren Mitchelson,David MacGeorge ,Heath Tregear and Chad is equal to those Zebra Champions. go zebs zebra :D

:D VFL crowds, last week we spoke of vfl attendances. How was this week ? At Box Hill was a healthy attendance made up of many Hawk supporters and a bird whistler(very nicely) when Box Hill kicked a goal early in the game. I say 2000 there which was very good for Easter. How did the Scorpians travel to Port and how many at western subs game Willy and Werribee? go zebs zebra :?

Arty , aka 'The Whistler' , is as passionate as they come and , along with his cohorts Jamie , Paul and 'honorary Greek' Davo , has traumatised more opposition full backs than I've had hot breakfasts.....and I LOVE a hot breakfast ! Arthur can also be found down Hawthorn way when things are getting tough , pushing up his boys with dance music and banners.......and hey , when we win....WHAT A VICTORYYYYYYYYYYYY ! Oh yeah , well done too Zeb , far too good mate...bastards. P.S I was told 1800 but I'm buggered if I know how they count em !!
