What's news at Frankston?
Nothing much has been said about the Dollies for a while. They made a big appointment of Shannon Grant as coach and I haven't heard much about any signings. And how about last years lot? Justin Berry, Marcus Marigliani, James Magner, the should be Liston winner Paul Kennedy those sorts of guys staying around the club? Dolphin, Robbo...you've been very quiet. Cmon give us something boys!

A lot of name players can be mega disappointments anyway. Frankston seem to get through on having a bunch of determined guys, not necessarily the most talented, but hard and tough footballers. And they milk the us against them stuff for all its worth.

I think every club has been burnt by the so called "big name recruit" I call it the Collingwood syndrome....Promise heaps...deliver little... I can recall back in the 70's Sandy signed 2 guys from Melbourne...Ruckman Brent JOnes and back pocket Phil Rhoden who had won the Gardiner Medal in 1968...both were hailed as big name recruits...both ended up playing for Sandy reserves

Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years

I think Frankston have learned from the 1990s that big names players don't bring you success. They signed a whole group of guys - guys like Moose Henwood, John Fridge, Matty Ryan, Terri Keays, the Morwoods - and it didn't get them a flag. The way they go about it now is far better.
