Good effort by the Bullants to hold off a youthful and improving Box Hill side in Frank Raso's 100th VFL game. The Bullants have their backline to thank for the six point win that saw the club move to a 3-2 win/loss ratio for the season. Adam Hartlett was outstanding across half-back and with support from Justin Crow, Josh Vansittart and Craig Flint, the Bullants were able to restrict Box Hill to just seven goals for the first three quarters despite the Hawks appearing to have as much of the play as the Bullants. Aisakie O'hailpin and Luke Blackwell were also top performers for the Bullants. With a growing injury list, the Bullants need to break even over the next month if they're to be a realistic top four chance come season's end. The Bullants look likely to face Nth Ballarat without Digby Morrell who was taken to hospital after a heavy second quarter clash while attempting a mark. Adam Harlet and Josh Vansittart also finished the game with injuries although you'd expect Vansittart to play next week.
