My mail is If the alignment is to continue there will be five games at Princes Park next year then all games at Princes Park 2009 onwards. Just another case of AFL bullying, unfortunately if they're to continue the Bullants probably have no other option other than to abandon Cramer St.which would be a crying shame as it's one of my favourite grounds. I'm unsure of Preston's financial position but it would be great if they could thumb their nose at Carlton and continue on their own,I for one would buy a membership ticket if it would help. A pox on Carlton,I hope a plague of locusts descend on Princes Park and eat every blade of grass in sight.

The Bullants are better off playing out of Mill Park than Princes Park. I'm not totally convinced this is soley about Cramer St being too small, I have a feeling its about Carlton trying upgrade Princes Park without spending its own money! If the Bullants are playing at Carlton then Football Victoria may be inclined to put money into any upgrades. In return the VFL grand-final would remain at the upgraded venue and eventually AFL games would return to the ground, with Carlton playing several home games at the MCG and the few remaining games at Princes Park. Publicly the Bullants have stated that Cramer St is important to the alignment continuing beyound 2007 so if Carlton don't come to the party, then I guess a divorce is on the cards. I think a public decision will be made this week. Hopefully Carlton will come to their senses as the Bullants can't play home games at a stadium that holds 30,000.

Preston should tell Carlton to go jump. The Bullants have every right to play all their games at Cramer Street. Carlton can go it alone therefore the Bullants can take over a part alignment with North Melbourne (taking over from Tassie). North Ballarat do not want a full alignment therefore the bullants can take over Tassie's part alignment with the roos. If Tassie stays in the vfl there will be 14 teams in the comp with Carlton on their own. Playing vfl matches on empty afl grounds- Kardinia Park, Princes park looks disgraceful with two men and a dog there. Not good for tv.

I doubt whether the Bullants would move away from Cramer street, Particularly after the current sterngthening of Northen Football League/Bullants, and now probably the Knights realationship, this has been shown by the Northen Football League recent decision to play finals including the Grand final at Cramer Street.

I would have thought that before Carlton worried about ground dimensions for their players' development, they could worry about the general shitness of the side.
In return the VFL grand-final would remain at the upgraded venue and eventually AFL games would return to the ground, with Carlton playing several home games at the MCG and the few remaining games at Princes Park.
Won't happen. Neither catering nor corporates care greatly for Princes Park, but the key factor is Carlton's 6/5 split of games between Telstra Dome and the MCG. Ian Collins and the AFL both wanted a move away from footy at Princes Park, and they'd be extremely unlikely to want to spend millions to move games back to the place.

If the Ants agree to Carlton's nonsense they'll be virtually saying yes to a relocation and, to my mind, there would be nothing left. It's a shit-awful situation for the people who have to make a decision on it but I hope they insist on playing games at the Cramer St oval

I can definately see North joining the bullants with a part alignment. The old DVFL is called NFL and will play their finals at Cramer Street which strengthens the bullants relationship with the league as well as the Knights. Preston will not move all their games to Carlton. It will not happen. Carlton will be stand alone in 2008.

I suppose any Ants-Kangaroos arrangement couldn't be regarded as long-term because nbody knows where the Kangas will end up. But the Arden St development makes things interesting

There was a meeting of Northern Bullants Members last night. I understand that the Bullants and Carlton are about to sign a 5 year deal to continue the alignment. They will still wear the Bullants jumper but will play all home game at MC Labour Park except for 2 at Cramer Street.
