There was a meeting of Northern Bullants Members last night. I understand that the Bullants and Carlton are about to sign a 5 year deal to continue the alignment. They will still wear the Bullants jumper but will play all home game at MC Labour Park except for 2 at Cramer Street.
Pretty average I think, I hope they didn't get bullied into to this, after all the work they have done with the NFL, and also I thnk the knights were going to relocate administration the Praston. You would also hope that Carlton would be significantly helping financially if they are going to play at MC Labour, 5 years is a bit much for that sort of arrangement isn't it? it could have long lasting damaging effects on the club.

Thats a disgrace. Assuming we lose the bye at some stage, either by Tassie leaving or a Sydney team joining, I hope that we might have each team playing 10 home games. 8 at MC Labour Park and 2 at Cramer St would be a disaster. Surely 6-4 would be fairer.

I think you'll find it will be 5-4, in Carlton's favour. In a sense that's a win for the Ants because early doors Carlton wanted everything, damn them

I would have expected a ratio similar to what Robbo suggested.

Discrageful. Greg Swann is an arrogant pig and well suited to Carlton. Why not have every game at Carlton, steal Preston's social as well. If it is true- it is an absolute disgrace !!!!! I hope Carlton wins the next twenty wooden spoons.

:( I can't lie and say that playing games at Carlton is a great thing for the club. But I do think that the club is committed to retaining Cramer St as a base and in my opinion will one day play nine home games at a ground other than Princess Park. The club should announce a profit for 2007 and needs to do so over the next five years so that it can be in a position to tell Carlton that its Cramer St or good-bye to the alignment. I accept that it's in the best interests of the club to stay in the alignment with Carlton but believe that none of our supporters should get 'used' to playing at Princess Park. It should be viewed as a temporary arrangement.

This is truly awful and the League has to step in and put a stop to it! I won't, of course, but alignments are about give and take . . . this is take and take! Sad day for footy i reckon!

Carlton can come last every year. Good for footy I feel for Preston. I will not barrack for them in any game and hope they lose every game they play in. Preston should not have let the germs take them over like that. What next- a complete control of the Preston Social Club and complete control where all Carlton players get a run and poor Preston's vfl players do not get a run unless some of Carlton's players are injured. Then again Preston for succumbing to this you deserve what you get. No mercy and plenty of sprays from the terraces, especially Frankston Hill, Port, Sandy, Willy and Coburg. What jumpers will they wear next year ? I bet you Greg Swann will be demanding navy blue and a change from the bullants to the blues. Greg 'Give nothing- take everything' Swan- you are a disgrace !!!
