Bullants V Frankston
Disappointing performance from the Bullants, their worst home and away game since round two 2005 when they lost to Nth Ballarat. Prior to the weekend the Bullants hadn't lost two games in a row, since rounds two and three of 2005 and need to lift if they are to beat Williamstown. The Bullants couldn't cope with Frankston's pace, with the Dolphins using the ball much better than the Bullants who again made many unforced errors! Frankston's small forwards ran riot with Morris, Dickson and Berry finishing with 10 goals between them. The Bullants missed Josh Vansittart who again was a late withdrawal from the selected side, Vansittart has missed two of the past three games after having ribs crushed by Box Hill's Jason Cook! Looking for positives, Paul Colbert [5 Goals] was very good up forward, his marking a feature and Josh Houlihan [4 Goals] played well in his 100th VFL game. Ross Young and Frank Raso were the best of the midfielders. The final score flattered the Bullants who played some very indifferent football throughout the day. It's hard to say what the rest of the season holds for the Bullants, a top four berth isn't out of the question but they will need to get some experienced players back. Presently the AFL list lacks experience with Young, O'Hailpin and Hartlett the only 3rd year players out on the ground last weekend, the latter have played barely 20 VFL games between them.

I remember reading in Inside Football and the VFL Record that the Bullants were going to struggle a bit this year due quite a few AFL listed players moving on. Has the loss affected you guys as much as was predicted, Bullants?
