Sandy really want the back to back to back thing, don't they. They are looking a pretty good thing, too.

I'll believe that Shane Woewodin is coming to Sandy when I see a pic of him in a Sandy jumper... I reckon it's a bit of media hype....in fact a lot of media hype

Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years

Footygoss (which looks like continuing despite announcing its closure) has a news report today that East Fremantle will hold a press conference today announcing Shane Woewodin has signed with the club for the 2006 Season. Handy get for Dunbar and the Sharks to get Woewodin back to the club. http://footygoss.com.au/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&si...
Speculation that Brownlow Medallist Shane Woewodin will join East Fremantle next season in a playing and coaching role will be confirmed this afternoon when the Sharks and Woewodin hold a media conference. Woewodin was dumped by the Magpies following a horrific 2005 season and trained with the Kangaroos in the hope of being picked up in the pre-season or rookie drafts. The Kangaroos instead opted for former Geelong forward Cameron Thurley and selected younger players in the rookie draft. Woewodin started his career with the Sharks before heading East to play for Melbourne, where he won the coveted Brownlow Medal in 2000. Swan Districts were also believed to be interested in acquiring Woewodin's services, but it appears as though he will join East Fremantle for the 2006 season and beyond.
That is correct. According to the ABC, during their cricket broadcast, he has signed for 3 years (everything else being equal), where he will be an on field leader and assistant coach. He commented that he was going back to where he came from. [I always thought that was the Ukraine.]

I don't like the idea of first year players captaining a club, but otherwise its a good deal.
