I echo Zebra's sentiments. Good luck to Springvale aka Casey..it's a big undertaking...Looking forward to going there later in the year...as they aren't as successful as they were in the 90's of course!

Everything is in readiness for tomorrow. The Council and the Club sorted out a temporary scoreboard - it's amazing what can be done in 24 hours with goodwill all around. The floodlighting was switched on tonight for the first time, and lit up the ground brilliantly. This facility is fantastic, and the Club will be looking forward to hosting many visiting clubs. Everyone involved in getting us to where we are today can (almost) let out an exhausted sigh. Just a few more hours! In March 2005 this site was still a farm! It's amazing to think that the oval only commenced construction then, and the pavilion in July 2005. We're almost there!

All i have heard is how good the future is.What about the Springvale supporters. Travel to Cranbourne every week becuse this is the future.Stuff all of you supporters(23)of you. Springvale and thats WHO they are have sold thier soal again. Should we now call them the Cranbourne Saints. But as one of thier supporters have all ready said here, its time to move on....

Why so much anger, Ozybeer?

Not anger, just wonder what is to happen to the existing supporters ,were members asked. Does anybody care ,or is it a new team new supporters.

It sounds like there are older supportes where who won't move with the times, similar thing happened when Carlton decided to move to Telstra Dome. Newcomen road might be a ground with a lot of history, but it was time to move on and even the GM Brian Woodman knew it so I think this good for the club moving out to a new facility. I am really looking forward to when we play our at Casey Fields next year, we are playing them only at Chirnside Park this year.
