Excellent crowd if the information that you provide is correct.

Talking to many people who were there on the day they have a said that easily 10,000 i don't know where the AFL get off reporting some of the figures that they do! Apparently more than 10, 000 clicks at the gate, then more who would have got there early/got there late, etc.

Good point. I wonder how the AFL can get away with doctoring crowd numbers and other related information.

I think we can all tell the difference between 3,500 and 10,000. While it would be interesting to know how and why the figure dropped so dramatically, it doesn't change the situation. Anyone who was there will be able to vouch for the size of the crowd.

Nah, Dolphin, 3500 was nowhere near close. I had a look at the game and 10,000 was about right.

Hmm, If thats the case then there is a serious communication problem between the people concerned. There is no logical reason to report down a crowd (unless your a nightclub trying to keep your licence!! ).

It's an excellent set-up out there but they need to get something sorted with more seating ASAP. I dropped in to Bellerive Oval a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how good that was either

Official attendance 10,099 according to the City of Casey, based on figures released by the AFL . Seating is an issue at Casey Fields, but it's a bit unfair to compare it to an international cricket venue (which then also gets used for footy). Most VFL venues have a relatively small grandstand (albeit a bit bigger than Casey Fields), and most patrons at VFL footy actually stand on their feet.
