Redlegger, I assume you mean your Councillor friend who you have written about before. Definitely not me! I just have an interest in the VFL with the relocation of the Scorpions to my local area (and I also appreciate the connection to the Saints which I have followed for years). I think that the Saints poker machines will stay at Moorabbin whatever happens with a training/admin base.
I wont be envoius, you sure your name isnt RW. $28 million on a new facilities. $6 million from the AFL and State, I think I'm going to be sick. Next they will grant pokies there.
I read in either the Journal or Leader newspaper, that an application for poker machines at the venue, had not been approved.

Only been rejected because of cap on pokies. Give it time, Rob will find a loophole. Got out of paying for his lights at Straithaird, seems to pick up sponsorship pretty easy for his schemes where others sruggle.

RW must be a smart operator - able to get lights without having to pay for them, able to find loopholes and able to get sponsorships where others can't.

This topic is now back from the dead after the Saints announced today that they will be moving their base of operations from Moorabbin. The earlier mentioned possibilities of Port Melbourne and Casey Fields are still named as possible destinations. If the Saints do end up at Port, it may bring forward some of the ground upgrades which have been talked about for several years now. Additionally lighting may be improved, making night VFL games a real possibility. What would happen to naming rights for the ground?

Ons, would you be be someone to agree with St. Kilda moving to Port Melbourne?? I mean the club is only 1 year older, how does that give them the right to just pick and choose where they want to be based?? I've said this before, but even though i do follow the Saints in the AFL, i would hate to see them based at Casey fiels, the amount of hard work the Springvale football club did to get it up and running just for the Saints to stroll in and take over, it would be unfair and all of a sudden we become the saints puppets.

Just also i last heard that they had approval to extent out onto south road to take over the bowling greens and develop a main entrance there?? what happened to that?

I suspect St Kilda is simply spooking the horses. I don't think the Saints are going anywhere
