The Match Committee, Football Executives & Board announced the team leaders for 2007, before the first practice game against Port Melbourne.
Club Captain for 2007 will be Nigel Carmody, who commenced playing for the club in 1998, and has played over 100 senior games for the club. Nigel takes over from long time team mate and friend Steve Harrison who has stepped down due to an increase in work commitments and the “new arrival†at home.
Teams Vice Captains for the season will be 2006 Best and Fairest David Biagi, and our star recruit from The Kangaroos, Troy Makepeace.
Club President John Sharkie said our Captains for 2007 will have the full support of the Club, as they lead the team on our mission to be a finals victor in 2007. [/quote]
Very happy with the group, and the team seems to be much more settled this year then last year. Obviously Steve Harrison will still have impact as a leader of the group, and i believe that nudge was the ideal and right person to take the reigns. Good luck to them for the year.
