CROWDS AT CASEY THIS SEASON.
Can some of the Casey fans give us an idea of what the crowds have been like so far this season?? Are people in the area getting behind the Scorpions?? We have all heard the stats about The city of Casey being one of the biggest growth areas in Australia... 2 houses are being built every hour, but are people goin to the footy????? Let us know.

Looking at some posts by Casey supporters and those who have been to a number of Casey games, it looks like the crowd numbers are not great.

Probably somewhere between 700-1,000 at the Box Hill game, with 1,000-1,200 there the week before against Frankston. Lots of people go to their games wearing St Kilda gear. That's obviously a little frustrating, but a hell of a lot better than people not going at all. Interestingly, my mail is that a lot of fans made their way up to Bendigo yesterday. Impressive effort!

Was personally a little dissapointed with the first two home game crowds, I honestly think to get the best out of the night games, then we have to have some more undercover seating/standing. Otherwise it just will not work to its best. Casey have actually average some of the best crowds in the league last couple of years, much much better tthan what they had done at Newcomen road. We will get an understanding of where we are at come the next two home games, against Bullants and Collingwood. Hopefully we can get over Tassie this week and go into them at 4-1, and start to pull a crowd.

But we weren't too far behind the level that Bendigo had, if behind at all!

It's been a tough start to the year crowd wise - the 2 night games were disappointing crowds. I'd say 1500-1800 for the Frankston match and 1200-1400 for the Box Hill clash. Certainly less than expected, but worth persisting with the night experiment for a while. The weather could not have been better, so that is not a reason. Agree that covered area would encourage more. The next home match is on Mothers Day, which is traditionally a small crowd day as well. Not a good way to start the season.
