Earthworks were undertaken a few weeks ago to get the building pad at the correct level. The builder was scheduled to come on site next week in order to not get in the way of first week finals.

With the decision of AFL Vic to not have a final in the first week at Casey Fields this year, the button was pushed and the site sheds went onto the site yesterday.

At this stage at least there's no additional room beyond the extensions planned as part of the agreement between MFC, Casey Council and the Scorpions, although there is scope for a further changeroom to be added (during construction or later).

Works are scheduled to be sufficiently completed that a NAB Challenge match can be held at Casey Fields in mid-March 2010.

Part of the carpark (about 85 carspaces) is also going to be sealed shortly. This is primarily for the regular weekday use by Scorpions and MFC staff and players, although it will just generally be part of the carpark area on matchday (for the earlybirds no doubt).

85 Carparks? Is that all?
