Who could/should coach Coburg next year?
With David Flood going, will the club appoint their own coach next year? I guess they may well appoint a Richmond assistant coach assuming the alignment goes on next year. Who are the assistant coaches currently at Punt Road?
Dolphin
The current assistants at Richmond are David Wheadon, Brian Royal & David King I think whoever it is will be appointed by Richmond.

Do you think they will go with one of them simply because of the cost factor of them already drawing a wage from Richmond?

I would say that Richmond will appoint the coach, it is not about money, it is about CONTROL.

Well, we have faired better this year as Axe is not employed by the Western Bulldogs but by the Werribee Football Club.

David Flood was the topic of much discussion among Richmond supporters who I'm sure will be glad to see the back of him looking after their young players.

Little bit from The Age today:
Richmond coach Terry Wallace has invited former Richmond and Fremantle midfielder Ashley Prescott to join him as an assistant next year. Prescott, who is coach of Claremont in the WAFL and a tutor with the Clontarf Football Academy, met Wallace in Perth 10 days ago to discuss a role with the Tigers as a development coach and senior coach of Richmond's VFL affiliate, Coburg. Prescott would be great, has done really well in Perth. A bit out of the box.

It'd appear his job if he wants it, has been headhunted for the job for a few weeks now. And I guess the possible appointment of a coach effectively ensures the Coburg Tigers will go on in 2006. Wonder if the Tigers will announce anything at their B&F on Saturday.

Prescott will not be coaching coburg next year. Has committed to Claremont for next 2 years. In West Australian newspaper today
