Steve Bailey is a gun and deserves his call-up, however, I would have had Clint Alleway ahead of Simon Taylor in the squad...

Well done to Michael Ablett, Chris Fortnam and Justin Berry from Frankston on being selected in the VFL Squad. Its look slike a very good squad has been selected for the game.

Who rucks? Guy Campbell, Trent Bartlett, Simon Taylor or Jeff Smith? Probably Taylor or Smith I reckon. Whose missing? Was Luke Jarrad not being in there a surprise to anyone?

I think the VFL state side picked was a piece of shit. What happened to picking the team on form, not reputation. Liddell and Biddiscombe have been injured most of the year and have been far from their best yet find themselves in the squad. Luke Jarred not being picked is a surprise, and a load of crap. The selectors again went on reputation by picking Lloyd and Cranage. And don't get me started on Jorgenson not making the squad. He's had a better year than Kelvin Moore, but Kelvin does deserve to be in there. The selctors have taken the easy option of picking older guys with a reputation when they could have picked a vibrant youthful team with players in form and players of the future. They are always going to beat the WAFL team anyway, why not give a young player the chance to step up to the plate? What do you guys think? Go Tiges!!!

The worst thing to me is it looks like the squad has been picked on form over the last two weeks. The simple fact is a player like Luke Jarrad was over the first five weeks a standout young player in the competition. He's probably well monitored by opposition clubs now, hardly a shock that his last two or three haven't been so good. Nathan Saunders has kicked a bag lately after a few weeks out with suspension. David Mitchell has only gotten firing the last couple of weeks too. Surely its only their 6 and 7 goal hauls respectively have gotten them in there. We'll see what they come up with as a final squad anyway.
