Only two training sessions to come together? Hmm.. I know it has been the patter in recent years to bring the squad together in a short periord of time, but this is a BIG game. I would have liked to see them at least have a light run two weeks out.

It looks a strong squad. But Casey people will be disappointed there is no A Silvagni there. He was outstanding in the two games I've seen him in this season and I suspect he would be leading the best and fairest. Still, you can't fit them all in.
Hooker
Valenti would be unavailable now as he's been elevated to the senior list.

:D Congratulations to Shane Valenti on being elevated to the Melbourne senior list with a chance to play this weekend in Adelaide. Just to be selected in the squad is very good for him as he deserves a real chance in the AFL as he has the ability to make it. Maybe not in this weeks match but in the near future matches. Sandy will miss his drive around the ground but it opens up opportunaties for others coming through from the ressies. Good luck Shane. go zebs zebra

He has been fantastic, and i noticed in the local papers he is leading the leader player of the year for the Scorpions! I suppose there are still two gams to be played so there might be a slim chance of a call up if he keeps doing what he's doing. Mathews has been injured this year and only played a couple that why he isn't there. Also i have heard Andrew McQualter has been elevated to the St. Kilda senior list so i suppose that would make him ineligable. Good on him he has worked extremely hard this year and deserves his chance, bad news for the Scorps, but great news for him and St.Kilda :)
