There is no doubt Pollard may lack the size to play on some genuine big power forwards (Bonnadio etc) but often gets the job done on them none the less. Frankston have been blessed he has been able to stand up in a key defensive post consistently for four years. With his running power and athleticism, he could play in a variety of positions in other teams and indeed competitions. (half back, medium back at AFL level even!)
watching the game yesterday i think pollard is lucky to be in the senior let alone VFL Rep squad, just my opinion
He wears 21. Your obviously confused!

bayman wrote
any community station that covers state sport (in any state) gets a thumbs up from me, i've heard sen when they called vfl & they were good & i reckon both 5rph & life do a great job & if we recall when the 'major stations' joined in durig the finals they (both 5aa & 891am) had no idea who any of the players were from any of the teams & it was laughable
I am disgusted that "our" ABC radio in Victoria refuses to mention VFL scores and other VFL info, yet jumps on the band wagon for the VFL grand final. The same applies with 3AW. 3XX, 3SER, and 3WBC give good coverage to the VFL during the WHOLE season (but other match scores need to be promptly given), however their geographical areas of coverage are limited. Both 5RPH and 5RAM 107.9 (Life FM) cover metropolitan Adelaide. We need a higher power station which covers all of the Melbourne area. VFL administration could not care less about publicity let alone the results of VFL matches being broadcast. It won't get "stuck into" the ABC to ensure results are broadcast. Considering that the VFL is just a puppet of the AFL, why doesn't the AFL insist that all stations broadcasting the AFL give "round the ground" scores of the VFL? (Or is that too simple?) If 5RPH can broadcast local state league matches why not 3RPH? 5RAM is a Christian station. Another Christian station, 3GGR 96.3 Geelong broadcasts local football. So it's not impossible for print handicapped or religious stations to broadcast football. But really, our ABC should be "forced" to give VFL scores on radio. It is failing in its charter. They give soccer, rugby, and other rubbish irrelevant to Victorians, yet refuse to mention state league football.

Yes, it is very poor that you cannot rely on the ABC TV to give the VFL results. They NEVER give results of games played on days other than Saturday or Sunday daytime. Channel 7 is also very erratic and unreliable in giving VFL scores.
