Scorpions vs Northern Bullants match has been moved to Moorabbin Oval and will now be played under lights on Friday Night at 7pm.

Good news, I might go along to that. I love Moorabbin Oval and night footy, not much else to do. Will be very interested to see how it goes.

I might try and get along to some of that as well, as I have a function to attend in the area that night.

Might see ya there Ons, could we possibly see the start of some more night VFL footy? Do you know why the change in time Robbo? Gotta say I'm rather surprised by a move to 7pm on a Friday night....at Moorabbin! I think the Scorps have a bye in the seniors so hopefully their side is a little stronger than normal and it's a good game.

So coaching staff can see both games. Also I heard today that Aaron Hamill may make his come back in this game.

Yeah, I heard that he was going to play last week!

But the fixture I have here says Springvale v Nthn Bullants on Sunday at Newcomen Rd, so surely that has no impact on the Bullants Saturday game.

Sorry about the bad scores but they only had the total on there!!! One of those little fold up boards, quite strange. SPRINGVALE 27, 52, 73, 82 NTHN BULLANTS 19, 33, 58, 79 Scorps lead by as much as 5 goals early in the third term but the Bullants clawed back and hit the front midway through the last term. Scorps coach Brad Sinclair had his head in his hands a few times as the Bullants kept the ball inside 50 for a long period late in the term and the Scorps turned the ball over when coming out of defence. However, they finally managed to clear it, and a fantastic contested mark 25m out in front and a goal by David Spithill got the Scorps the lead back with only enough time for the centre bounce to restart play after the goal. For the Scorps, Jason Gram was terrific, as was Matthew Ferguson. Ferguson was everywhere. Chris Worner was impressive through the midfield and half forward, and gets the inspiration award for the night with what looked like a rolled ankle during the last term he was limping off with the aid of the doc but with the ball coming near pulled away and put himself right in the contest again. Stuart Morrish was good on a wing, and Damon Arezollo also seemed to have enough of the ball as well. Barry Brooks won his fair share of hitouts against the Bullants trio of Adam Jordan, David Forance and Daniel Batson and did some good stuff but some sloppy decision making and poor second efforts let his game down. Brent Gutterson was dangerous up forward for the Bullants, Aisake O'Hailpin was around the place early but died out of it. Siciliano and McIntosh were decent enough. If I missed anyone sorry but it is tough when you don't actually know the sides. A terrific game of footy, only a small turnout but the Scorps fans who were there made plenty of noise, especially from one rather loud woman who spent the night yelling support for Stuart Morrish. Apart from a little bit of darkness in two of the pockets those lights are brilliant and I'd like to see the VFL look into having a few more night matches.
