Interesting list of players. Richmond and Hawthorn generally give a large number of players from there VFL alignment a chance to do a month or so of pre season with them. Usaully these clubs only chose 1-2 players max in the rookie draft. Past players picked up from Box Hill include Ben McGlynn, Clinton Young, Kristian Height, Sam Mitchell etc
If you agree that the VFL is a pathway to the AFL - it is pretty hard to argue that AFL-VFL alignments don't work when you look at the list of boys doing AFL pre-seasons. Consider Essendon, Dogs, Hawks, Melb and Richmond.
