The margin probably doesn't indicate how close Tassie got on a couple of occasions. The margin narrowed down to 10 points at one stage, but Port responded well, taking the 4 points.
For a team that is bottom of the ladder, they played some good footy the Devils, and will probably lift themselves from that position later in the season.
Shooter was outstanding on Saturday.. he played the conditions very well, and could have received a couple of free kicks for some of his in and under play.
Plemming who was also listed amongst the bests took a couple of telling marks running back with the flight of the ball in the backline, and he has become one of the most improved players in the side.
Milly did well on Derbyshire, after he looked threatening early. He was either side-by-side in a couple of marking contests, or even fought his way the front. I thought they may have had the match-up wrong, but he was very good.
Langford continued his good form from the U23 game, slotting 5 goals, several of them from about 40 metres out on reasonable angles.
Lots of good players on the day, but one passage of play that stood out, was Robin Nahas effecting a spoil in the centre of the ground when the Devils kicked sideways, that went to Robbins (I think) who played in jumper #62. Robbins got the ball back evaded a couple a slotted the goal.
Brayden Shaw broke a finger in the warm-up so to post a good win with only 3 on the bench for the game was a good effort.
Livingston did not play, presumably not coming up from the ankle injury last week.
I will have some photo's up on the Image gallery a little later. The pictures probably don't show just how dark it was in Hobart.
It's a nice change with media coverage when you go to Tasmania. There were two or three articles Saturday morning on the game in the papers, and when I got back to the Hotel, Channel 9 Sports led with the game during the news coverage, giving it a good 1.5 to 2 minute segment. Sundays paper it was the lead article.
If only we could get half the coverage they get there :)

Tasmanian coverage of the game: Shrunken down to 700mb (still big) Will need VLC Media player to watch ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html )

Checked the laws out.. Should be ok as long as its not being distributed for profit.
