Weren't stand-alone sides told they'd host a final in the first week should they make? Disapointing to be heading out to Cranbourne on Sunday to play finals. I can't imagine the crowd would be bigger out there than at Port would it? Offtopic, what condition is Moorabbin in at the moment?
ons, I knew before Saturday's game out there regardless of where Casey finished they would host a final.

It was in the Football Record for Round 19: From the editorial page (page 3) in an article about determining the location of where 2007 VFL finals matches will be played: The VFL also looks to support clubs and councils where appropriate. Certainly, Casey Fields is a venue that is being considered should the Scorpions play finals. The City of Casey has been exceptional in its support of the TRUenergy VFL over the past few years and its venue and facilities are second to none. Not categoric agreed, but pretty encouraging (from the Scorpion's point of view).

The Roosters have only had one home final. They are definitely owed one after being sent to Tasmania a couple of seasons back and one for this year.

Very poor scheduleing by the VFL having Bendigo and Ballarat teams play in Melbourne could end up with one of the worst crowds in the finals history of the VFA/VFL Lets hope the Essendon supporters got on board

Worse than ridiculous? I know we have poor public transport in the outer suburbs compared to the generously-provided inner suburbs (using our taxes), but there is a train from Flinders Street every 40 minutes going to Cranbourne on Sunday. There is a bus which meets every train when it arrives and goes to Cranbourne East which is where Casey Fields is. Sometimes the bus drivers have been known to vary the route to take passengers right into the complex.

I can't imagine the crowd would be bigger out there than at Port would it? There's no way Port Melbourne should have had a home final 1st up....no team finishing 8th should get one...stand alone...or aligned.... Trying to add a bit of common sense here...

I'd reckon there were about 750 people at North Ballarat v Bendigo Elimination Final. What was the attendance at Casey v Port Melbourne?
