Herald Sun wrong????
Is geoff poulter wrong in saying that Port are a televised game at TEAC oval on sat against North Ballerat? Seems to me he went to print before the final days results came through!!

The only way that North Ballarat could have played Port in the 1st Elimination Final was if: * Casey lost on Saturday * Port won on Saturday * Bendigo won on Sunday. So he must have gone to print at the 10 minute mark of the last quarter on Saturday when Frankston led the Casey Scorpions by 4 goals, and no-one would have expected the comeback.

I think Geoff is on the ball. Doesnt the VFL have some rule that awards a stand alone team a home final regardless of ladder position??? Eg. Tasmania in 2003 when they got a home final but Port finished top. And also Frankston were awarded a home final in 2006. At the time Ken Gannon told the public that some games will be scheduled "BEST FIT" and not solely on ladder position. The Port Melbourne reserves are also in the finals this week after finishing 2nd on the ladder. They play Werribee who finished 3rd. I dont see why either Port or Werribee should have to travel to Cranbourne. Can someone please let us know the correct fixture for this weeks finals please.
